27th Annual BSMO meeting 2025

the 27th Annual BSMO meeting 2025 will take place in Bruges on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February 2025

All members, participants, invited speakers and corporate partners will meet up for this 100% in-person meeting

Early October 2024 – abstract submission and registration open
3 January 2025: deadline registrations for BSMO effective and Junior MiT members (dues paid for 2024) to take advantage of a complimentary hotel room > subject to availability, first-come, first-served
6 January 2025 – deadline abstract submission
Week of 20 January 2025 – abstract notification letters
27 January 2025 – deadline registrations

Registration and payment deadline:
• 3 January 2025 – for BSMO effective and Junior MiT members (dues paid for 2024) to take advantage of a complimentary hotel room > subject to availability, first-come, first-served
• 27 January 2025 – ultimate registration deadline

Target audience: Medical oncologists and oncologists in training. Other professions with focus on cancer care management are very welcome.

  • BSMO effective members, junior members-in-training (dues paid for 2024) and invited speakers are entitled to free participation in the meeting + social programme and complimentary hotel room incl. breakfast and city tax on Friday night. Subject to availability. First-come, first-served.
  • Special members (= undergraduate students, emeritus, associate & corporate members) are entitled to free participation in the meeting + social programme .  NO complimentary hotel reservation. Non-members must arrange for their personal hotel reservation. Information on hotels in Bruges can be found here.
  • NON-members are entitled to free participation in the meeting.  However a fee of EUR 80,00 will be charged for the participation in the social programme on Friday evening.  No complimentary hotel reservation.   • Company representatives of companies NOT sponsoring BSMO 2025 can sign up and attend the general scientific sessions that are open to all. However a fee of EUR 250,00 per day will be charged.  Participation in the social programme on Friday evening is not allowed.  No complimentary hotel reservation. Call for original science abstracts

Submission deadline: Monday 6 January 2025

BSMO Junior members, onco-coaches and researchers are invited to submit their innovative work, showcase it in Bruges and grab the chance to win an abstract-related award

A Trial in Progress (TiP) category is open for abstract submission.  TiP abstracts can be accepted for poster presentation only.  TiP posters will not be part of the voting for best poster award and will not be published in BJMO.

Social programme

On Friday evening our members are invited for a guided visit behind the scenes of the Bruges concert hall.  The tour will end on the rooftop for a reception followed by a seated dinner overlooking the nicely lit panorama of Bruges.  The concert hall is located at Het Zand, which is just a few minutes away from BMCC the meeting venue.  At 18:30 we meet up at the Concertgebouw and start the discovery of the building and its art and architecture?
