Assessment and investigations

  • Review medications: e.g. statins, antibiotics, alcohol history and alternative medicines (herbs)
  • Perform liver screen: – Hepatitis A/B/C serology – Hepatitis E PCR – Anti-ANA/SMA/LKM/SLA/LP/LCI – Iron studies
  • Consider imaging for metastases/portal trombosis
